Barnsley Day of Action “A Success Despite Bitter Weather”-Barnsley by election 2011

The past weekend saw another successful day of action in Barnsley for the forthcoming by-election despite bitterly cold weather, reports Yorkshire British National Party press officer Doug Ward.

“Activists could not be deterred by the bitter weather and faced snow showers, wind and rain,” Mr Ward said.

“Nonetheless, a swathe of leaflets, newspapers and election material was delivered across the constituency.”

Ian Sutton, election agent to candidate Enis Dalton, expressed his gratitude to all those who took the time to assist with the campaign once again.

“I would like to give a warm thank you, a lot warmer than the Barnsley weather, to all those who came to help with the campaign,”

Mr Sutton said.“We had supporters from as far away as Penrith and I just hope they didn’t mind the tropical conditions.

“But there is still along way to go with this election and we will be there campaigning every day up to and including polling day.

“We look forward to welcoming more nationalists from across the country for the next weekend of action,” Mr Sutton concluded.
