Dan Jarvis-Labours Real Heroes!

Let’s not get carried away here with talk of Heroes and Major’s followed by Northern Ireland, Kosovo and Iraq in the same sentence. Labour seem, again, to have taken the high moral ground as their Publicity Juggernaut rolls into Barnsley for the second by-election in as many months.
Eric Illsley the disgraced Public Expenses fiddler, who despite having full knowledge that a court appearance was likely, continued with the electoral process and after receiving the mantle for another term proceeded straight to the checkout for a top up !
Now in his misguided wisdom Ed Milliband, the estranged Labour Leader, has appointed a former Major of the Parachute Regiment to defend Labour’s dismal reputation in Barnsley.
True! When we think of the Para’s we think of 1982 and the Falklands with the likes of Lt. Colonel Herbert Jones and Sergeant Ian John McKay the two posthumous Victoria Cross holders. The bravery and sacrifice of the British First Airborne Division at Arnhem under the diligent command of Major General Robert ‘Roy’ Elliot Urquhart.

There is no doubt in my mind that the Parachute Regiment served distinguished tours in all three conflict zones of Northern Ireland, Kosovo and Iraq and I am sure that Mr. Jarvis played his part in some small way but ‘HERO?’

The word ‘Hero’ seems to have lost it’s true meaning these days as the media, in general, use it for so many headlines as follows.

The word ‘Hero’ is defined according to the Oxford Dictionary as: a person, typically a man, who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities: a war hero
Unfortunately the likes of the tabloids (Sun, Star, Mirror) could not wait to be able to introduce ‘we the public’ to the next ‘HERO’ and in the process reduce all the frontline squaddies heroic deeds to nothing.

A hero is someone who habitually performs heroic deeds. To be considered a hero you have to perform something heroic. Just because you have a military uniform and a gun doesn't mean that you're naturally a hero. It means you're a soldier. If you then performed some heroic deed with that uniform and gun, then you could argue for heroism, but until that time, you're just a soldier. Can Mr. Jarvis in all honesty, understanding and acknowledging the sacrifices of his peers previous and contemporary, consider himself part of a truly unique cadre of men and women who retain a unifying factor; that of ‘Heroism?’

Stephen Monkhouse: Died trying to rescue injured colleague

All Soldiers are humans; they are capable of great good and great evil just as all of us are. They are simply exposed to the extremes of human behaviour so they are the ones who act out the extremes of heroism and evil acts more often. To prescribe everyone who ever puts on a uniform, the title of "hero", is just lessening the word’s value and taking it away from the people who really deserve the honour.

I cannot deny that it takes great courage and skilful training to operate daily out of a continually changing and challenging warzone but let’s get this ‘hero thing’ into perspective.

It is a sad indictment on Labour and an extremely cynical ploy that they would use the emotional lure of a self appointed ‘hero’ to overcome decades of corruption within their party. After all it was under the leadership of the War Criminal Tony Blair that the troops made their first tentative steps into Asia.

Mr Blair insisted that, on the basis of the intelligence available at the time, he stood by his claim at the time that it was "beyond doubt" Iraq was continuing to develop its weapons capability. However he acknowledged "things obviously look quite different" now given the failure to discover any weapons after the invasion.
He also rejected claims he manipulated intelligence to justify the invasion.
But this is the way with Labour and now with the two ‘ED’ cases at the helm the refusals to accept the wrong doing will continue to pile up at Labour’s doors. The question is what do we do about it?

Barnsley-A lost Identity

Barnsley's economic future is bleak because of a culture of dependency and a lack of aspiration, a council report claims.

To boost commerce the authors say the town should concentrate on developing a stronger identity so it can exploit tourism opportunities.

The report states the borough is still suffering from the decline of traditional industries which have moved overseas. It says too many of the working-age population are a drain on the public purse and are sucked into a ‘downward spiral of dependency’, while too many in work are in low-skilled jobs.

“‘Skills poverty’ has wide ranging implications, from entry level jobs through to management and leadership positions,” it states.

“It is critical that education and training institutions focus on connecting local people to job opportunities, through a combination of vocational and work-based training and more traditional economic routes.”

British National Party Appoints Candidate for Barnsley By-election NOW WITH VIDEO

Enis Dalton, a well-known local community worker, has been appointed the British National Party’s candidate in the forthcoming by-election in Barnsley, organiser Ian Sutton has announced.
Speaking before a packed meeting to mark the end of a day of action in the constituency, Mr Sutton said that Ms Dalton’s close connection to the constituency and her standing in the community made her the ideal candidate to carry the party’s banner.

"We needed a local person to represent the local community, and someone who has shown a commitment to this party," Mr Sutton said.
"We are the real working class people and grossly misrepresented in Westminster," Ms Dalton said.
"One of the my hopes is to bring about change in politics. But I hope people looking at me standing in this election, they will think, well, if Enis can do it, then they can as well," she said.

About 150 activists turned out and distributed near enough 46,000 leaflets in the constituency, Mr Sutton added.
“This means that near enough the entire constituency has been covered today,” Mr Sutton said. “This is a fantastic achievement and I want to thank all the people who took part in this day of action.”

British National Party Activists Converge on Barnsley

British National Party activists have converged on Barnsley this morning to take part in an extended day of action which will culminate in a meeting this afternoon at which the party’s candidate for the upcoming by-election will be announced.

Activists started meeting earlier today at the rendezvous point and were issued with leaflets printed from a risograph transported to the scene in the back of national organizer Adam Walker’s vehicle.
From there, the teams split up into smaller groups to leaflet and canvass target areas in the constituency.

British National Party leader Nick Griffin MEP took time to stop at the party’s main stall in Barnsley town centre, where his appearance caused local media interest and a rush from members of the public to have their pictures taken with hm.
Meanwhile, the teams of activists have started to report back from the field, and all have advised of a feeling of cautious optimism to the reaction to the party’s new leaflets.

Britain’s Islamist Terror Menace Created by Labour and Tories: Now They Want You to Pay for It

British taxpayers will have to cough up an additional £30 million per year for increased “monitoring” of Islamist fanatics in Britain in terms of “new” security laws announced by Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg yesterday in parliament.
The new rules, announced during a particularly pathetic display of idiocy in the House of Commons, will greatly increased the burden placed on Britain’s security services by allowing suspects currently under curfew even greater freedoms than before.
According to a report by the Home Office, 92 percent of all convicted terrorists in Britain are Muslim (“Statistics on Terrorism Arrests and Outcomes Great Britain”, Home Office, 26 November 2009).
According to this report, there have been 1,661 terrorism arrests in Britain since 11 September 2001. This translates to 1,528 Islamist terrorists being convicted in the nine and a half years since 2001.
Put another way, this means that a Muslim terrorist has been locked up at the rate of one every two days since 2001.
Before the London train bombings (carried out by first and second generation Muslim immigrants living in Britain), intelligence services estimated that one percent of Muslims in Britain either supported or were involved in terrorism.
British intelligence services believe that, in recent years, 3,000 Muslims in Britain have been to al Qaeda training camps.
Intelligence experts estimate that there are at least 1,200 Muslim radicals (80 percent of Pakistani origin) in Britain who have terrorist intentions.
Only a fool or a madman would deny the very real threat this poses to the stability of Britain or that it really is just some “fringe” minority.
It is a serious, deadly threat which has already taken lives in the most severe acts of terrorism in the history of our nation.
To make matters worse, it is precisely the policies of the Labour and Tory parties, and now the Liberal Democrats as well, which have created this large mass of alien invaders in our midst.
Instead of applying the logical answer to the problem — halting and reversing third World immigration — Mr Clegg and his fellow liars have chosen instead to carry on with the ridiculous and doomed policy of trying to keep a security clampdown on these Islamists.
In terms of Mr Clegg’s announcement, terror suspects currently under overnight curfews will no longer be forced to change address and will be allowed restricted use of mobile phones and the internet.
In addition, the curfew period has been reduced from 16 hours per day to ten, which means that the security services will now have to devote an additional six hours per day to monitoring these individuals.
This is why the cost of the programme has now leaped from £12 million top £30 million.
All this is completely unnecessary. These individuals should not even be in Britain, and under a British National party government would instantly be returned to their countries of origin so that they can no longer pose a threat to our nation.

Elderly Christians in Firing Line of Equality Bullies

The “Equality and Human Rights Commission” (EHRC) have turned their sights on bed and breakfast homeowners Peter and Hazelmary Bull just because of their Christian beliefs, British National Party leader Nick Griffin MEP has said.
Writing in the latest appeal letter sent out the by party, Mr Griffin said that Trevor Phillips and his EHRC had persecuted the British National Party during 2010 “before finally losing the court case that they bought against myself, Simon Darby and Tanya Lumby.
“Now these bullies have turned their sights on bed and breakfast homeowners in another assault on our traditional rights by the Politically Correct Gestapo,” Mr Griffin wrote.
“Have you heard of the story of Peter and Hazelmary Bull? They are devout Christians who, for 25 years, worked hard to make ends meet by offering a bed and breakfast in their home.
“The Bulls were sued by the EHRC over their married-only policy on double beds and were ordered to pay a militant homosexual couple £1,800 each in compensation for the "hurt and embarrassment [they] suffered" at being told that they would be required to sleep in separate beds while staying at the Bull’s house,” he wrote.
“Thanks to your support and steadfast loyalty, Phillips and EHCR couldn’t break our British National Party. So now they’ve decided to pick on a smaller, more vulnerable ‘enemy’.
“So they took this couple to court for simply endorsing Christian principles. Isn’t it outrageous? So much for ‘an Englishman’s home is his castle!’
“Do you share my belief that it’s time to stand up to the PC bullies on behalf of our people?” Mr Griffin asked in the letter.
“I was, as I know you were, disgusted when I heard the judgment against the Bulls. We are living in dangerous times when, as Christians, we are persecuted in our own land.”
Mrs Bull was quoted in the papers as saying that ‘Much is said about 'equality and diversity', but it seems some people are more equal than others.’
“We must take a stand against this madness,” Mr Griffin continued.
“I've talked to so many ordinary people about this case and I agree with every one of them when they tell me that things must change. I tell them that the only party which is prepared to speak out on controversial issues such as these is the British National Party.
“Only the British National Party will stand up and defend the rights of Christians to choose to live according to our nation’s traditional bedrock values. It's just one reason why the Political Class hate us, and why so many ‘ordinary’ decent folk wish us well.
“It's the ‘ordinary’ people who fund and support the British National Party.
“Growing numbers of people, just like you, donate to this party because they want us to keep speaking out against the PC madness of today,” Mr Griffin said.
“People like you donate because they care. They, like you, are sickened by the way people are set up and persecuted by the PC Gestapo.
“We’re working on exciting plans to take the fight to the enemies of freedom. I want us to speak out loud and clear on issues like this, so I need your help.
“Please help me and the British National Party to keep fighting. Could your donation stretch to £500 to help us fight persecution and give the PC bullies another bloody nose? If not please consider making a gift of £100, £50 or £25. Please send your most generous gift today and keep the British National Party in this struggle.
“I can’t put a total on the amount that we need to raise this year in our continuing struggle against the Politically Correct elite, because the more we have, the more we can do. You can be certain that every pound counts, and with your willing help, we can win,” Mr Griffin concluded.

Study Which Claims “5.5 Million Muslims in 20 years” in Britain Is a Gross Underestimate

The claim by the American “Pew Center” that there will be 5.5 million Muslims in Britain by 2030 is a gross underestimation and based on a significant and serious calculation error, it has emerged.
Edgware Road, London. Edgware Road, London. The Pew Center, which is a Washington DC-based organisation which specialises in public policy study papers, said that Muslims are expected to account for 8.2 percent of the UK’s population in 2030, up from an estimated 4.6 percent today.
According to the Pew Center, in “1990 there were 1.1 million Muslims in Britain, representing two per cent of the population.”
It was from this base figure that the Pew Center started its calculations and claimed that some 40 years later, the Muslim population would total some 5.5 million.

Separate studies conducted in January 2008 showed that the Muslim population of Britain was already at least 2.4 million strong (or nearly half the Pew Center’s proposed 2030 figure) and that the Muslim population was increasing at a rate ten times faster than any other segment of the population.

Furthermore, the high number of Muslims under the age of four in Britain — 301,000 as of September 2009 —  of a total of just over 3.5 million, means that in the younger age groups, Muslims were already ten percent of the population a year ago.
Given these birth rates, census figures and the fact that the Muslim population in 2008 was already 2.4 million, it can easily be seen that the Pew Center’s predictions are a hopeless underestimate.

In reality, given the demographic trends already visible in London, Birmingham and Leicester, to name but three cities blighted by Third World colonisation, it is likely that the Muslim population of Britain reached 3 million in 2010.
Given that the birth rate amongst Pakistani women living in Britain is three times higher than among British-born women, the figure of 5.5 million is likely to be reached well before 2020, a full decade short of the Pew Center’s predictions.

Mohammed has already been the most common newborn boy’s name in Britain for at least two years (although the establishment has tried to lie about this by using different spellings of the name to dilute the total count).
If current immigration and fertility rates continue as they are now, white British people will become an absolute minority by 2066, according to a recent report by Professor David Coleman from Oxford University.
Professor Coleman added that white British people will be a minority in younger age groups “well before that date.”

The British National Party has consistently warned not only of the dangers of Islamic colonisation, but also of the wholesale replacement of the indigenous population of Britain by mass Third World immigration.
The party’s warnings are becoming fact before everyone’s eyes.

1,200 Jobs Lost in Nimrod Debacle to Save £2 Billion, But Foreign Aid Bill Will Be £120 Billion in Same Period

More than 1,200 British workers have lost their jobs as a result of the scrapping of the Nimrod aircraft to “save £2 billion over the next ten years” while the foreign aid budget is set to rise to more than £120 billion at the same time.
The Defence Spending Review cuts announced by Tory Defence minister Liam Fox said that cutting the Nimrod aircraft” would “save £2 billion over the next ten years.”

However, the ConDem regime increased the foreign aid budget from £9 billion to £12.1 per year, which means that over the next ten years, they will have spent at least £120 billion on foreign aid.
In reality, the foreign aid budget is likely to rise even higher than that, unless of course the British National Party comes to power and that swindle is halted forthwith.

Cutting the Nimrod aircraft will see the BAE systems base in Woodford, closed down in March this year, resulting in job losses and ancillary industry closures.
The move to literally cut up the aircraft, which have never even been used, effectively throws nearly £2 billion of tax money down the drain, a decision which has already been condemned by military and security experts.

Britain won the London 2012 Olympics bid, for example, on the basis that the security of the event would be guaranteed by the presence of the Nimrod aircraft, which would have been airborne by then.

The Ministry of Defence will spend an additional £200 million on scrapping the planes, including penalty payments for terminating the contract — a figure which the manufacturer says was all that was needed to make all nine aircraft airworthy.

The planes were designed as “eye-in-the-sky” aircraft and just one of them would have been able to scan all of Britain in ten seconds.
The scrapping of the project on “cost savings” grounds, never mind the loss of military capability, is evidence that the ConDem regime always puts the interests of Britain and the British people last.

Rather than preserving British jobs and enabling the defence of Britain to continue, Mr Fox and his colleagues would rather give away tens of billions of pounds to nations such as China and India by way of “foreign aid.”

ConDem Voodoo Economics: Nearly at Zimbabwe Level as Spending Cuts Start Destroying Private Sector

Britain’s Gross Domestic Product to National Debt ratio is now the fourth worst in the world, and only three places behind Zimbabwe, new figures have revealed.

The Office for National Statistics has revealed in updated figures that Britain's debt now officially stands at £2.3 trillion, and not the £1 trillion earlier reported.

The reason for the increase, the ONS said, was that the figures included the bankster bailouts for the first time.

Liabilities of the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and Lloyds Banking Group on the Government’s balance sheet had added £1.3 trillion to the UK's net debt.

The figures for Northern Rock and Bradford & Bingley were already in the figures, so the addition of the RBS' and Lloyds' figures pushed the total debt to £2.32 trillion.
Incredibly, this is equivalent to 154 percent of Britain’s entire national output, which pushes the UK into the fourth most worse off country in the world.

Only the territory of St Kitts and Nevis (185 percent), Japan (196 percent) and Zimbabwe (241 percent) are now worse off than Britain.
Britain’s borrowing to keep afloat reached a record high in November last year, when £23.3 billion was borrowed from the mysterious, always unnamed, and seemingly deep-pocketed “international money market.”

According to Jonathan Loynes, chief European economist at Capital Economics, the “numbers are broadly on track to hit the borrowing target this year,” but warned that this would be “a bit historic as people are now focusing on what will happen if the economy turns out to be growing less strongly than expected.”

Confirming earlier reports that the private sector was slowing down and that this could affect recovery, Mr Loynes said that “if growth is significantly slower than forecast this year and running into next year, it will not only result in higher public borrowing but it also raises questions over the wisdom of such sharp cuts in public spending when the recovery is in a relatively early stage."
In addition, government spending cuts, supposedly being made to “save the economy” after it was wrecked by the old gang parties, are beginning to destroy the private sector as well.
Experts in the construction sector confirmed that the ability of the private sector to grow effectively — which is crucial to the ConDem regime’s ‘recovery’ plans — is being crushed by the ripple effects of the spending review.

According to an article in the latest Electrical Times, construction intelligence company Glenigan has reported that “cuts in government spending are having an adverse effect on projects in the health, education and other public sector projects.”
Quoting Glenigan’s economics director, Allan Wilen, the magazine said that “a combination of reduced government activity and a sluggish housing market has hampered the recovery in private sector activity.

“December's severe weather conditions compounded the downturn leaving the value of underlying projects starts during the three months to December 29 percent down on a year earlier,” Mr Wilen was quoted as saying.
“The sharp drop 3.3% in construction output during the final quarter of 2010 also confirms the findings of Glenigan's own research, which has seen a sharp fall in the value of new projects starting on site.”

Yet Another Privately-Owned Railway Company Folds

The collapse of the Wrexham and Shropshire railway company, which will stop operating tomorrow, has proven beyond doubt that the Tory-led and Labour-backed national transport privatisation policies are unviable and only serve to heighten congestion on the road network.
The company’s closure, which means there is now no direct link between Shropshire and London, came after chairman Adrian Shooter said there was “no prospect” of the service becoming profitable.

Wrexham and Shropshire railways was owned by a consortium, ironically including the German state operator Deutsche Bahn. It was one of three "open access" operators, which are train companies which do not receive a subsidy from the Department for Transport to continue operating.

In other words, as from Friday, all but two of Britain’s railway companies receive taxpayer-funded handouts, despite the claim that the railways have been “privatised” since 1993.
The insanity of the multiple company “licensing system” — which has already seen ownership of the railway tracks pass back and forth between the private sector and the state — was nowhere better illustrated with the Wrexham and Shropshire railway company.

As part of its “operating licence,” Wrexham and Shropshire was forbidden from stopping at Wolverhampton or Birmingham because this would breach other train companies’ “rights” to exclusively service those two stations.

The inability to pick up passengers from those major hubs unquestionably contributed to the inability of Wrexham and Shropshire to be remotely viable, and it also illustrates just how fundamentally unfair and impossible the privatisation process has become.
If there was only one state railway (as is the case in almost every other European nation) then none of these issues would affect financial performance.

The worst insult of the whole privatisation process however has to be the fact that the taxpayer still subsidises the “private companies” anyway, which utterly defeats the so-called “logic” behind handing the national transport system over to the private sector in the first place.
It is a logical fact that the size of investment needed to upgrade and maintain the transportation sector means that the state must be involved in the process, as the profit-driven private sector exclusivity will make it too expensive for consumers to use.

This fact is illustrated by the disastrous consequences of the rail network privatisation — it is now cheaper to fly from London to New York than it is to take a train from Manchester to London at peak times.
The privatisation of British Rail was set in motion when the then Conservative government enacted the British Coal and British Rail (Transfer Proposals) Act of 1993, which paved the way for the creation of Railtrack PLC and the Railways Act of the same year.

The New Labour government which replaced the Tories, immediately ditched its election promise to reverse the privatisation process, and instead completed it as quickly as possible.
Since then, the railway tracks (which bizarrely were sold off to a private company which then charged the other private companies a fee to use them) have reverted to state control, as have a number of coach operators.

In addition, train fares have increased by, in some cases, over 1000 percent, The dramatic rise in fares has forced even more people to use road transport, which has further added to pollution and congestion on Britain’s roads.

Why Do We Need Full-Time Police Officers to Enforce Multiculturalism if It Is Good?

Why does Britain need full-time police officers, paid for by taxpayers, to enforce multiculturalism if that concept is so good and beneficial for this country, British National Party councillor and press officer John Walker asked the latest party meeting in Burnley.

John Walker Speaks in Burnley John Walker Speaks in Burnley
Cllr Walker told the crowd that he had received a “wake-up call” during his preparations for the campaign the party has launched to oppose the creation of yet another “Islamic cultural centre” in Shotton, North Wales.

“I was invited by the police to a meeting of interested parties to discuss the proposed conversion of an old social club into an Islamic centre,” Cllr Walker said.

“It was there that I received a major wake-up call. The stuff they came out with at that
meeting was just unbelievable.”

Cllr Walker said that there were no less than two “community cohesion” officers present at the meeting, one from the police and another from Flintshire County Council.

“The police have appointed a full-time community cohesion sergeant for whole of Flintshire.
“All he does is go around trying to keep a lid on the racial tension that this Lib-Lab-Con have created in the first place,” he said.

“If this multicultural society is so preferable, why do we need full-time police officers going round telling everyone it’s a great idea?

“Why do we need someone there from Flintshire county council going on about how wonderful it is to welcome all the migrant workers into Flintshire; about how they are working with Muslim families in the area?” Cllr Walker asked.

“This is just another person being paid by my local authority, with my tax money, to facilitate the colonisation of North Wales,” he said to applause.

“That was a wake-up call for me. When one is involved in the British National Party for a long time, you can get lost in the details and internal party issues.
“That meeting [with the community cohesion officers ] reminded me why I am a member of this party.

“It reminded me why I am councillor for this party, and why I continue to fight for this party, which is the only chance for this country,” Cllr Walker said.
