Recently a friend of mine wrote a letter to the BBC complaining that there was no British National Party representation on Question Time. He sent it in response to an article entitled: When Will the British National Party Be Back on Question Time?
However, the BBC were not impressed. What do you think their supercilious reply contained?

Thank you for contacting us regarding ‘Question Time’, broadcast on 20 January 2011.
I understand you’re unhappy that a representative of the British National Party was not a member of the panel.
‘Question Time’ is a highly topical and flexible programme with a range of editorial judgements needed in deciding the make-up of the panel each week. The production team keep a close eye on political events and if and when there were to be a suitable opportunity to invite a representative of the BNP on to the programme, they would be invited to take part.
Nevertheless, we appreciate how strongly you feel on this matter and we're guided by our audience feedback, so we’d like to assure you that your complaint has been registered on our audience log. This is an internal report of audience feedback that we compile on a daily basis and it’s made available to programme commissioners, channel executives and senior management.
The audience logs are seen as important documents that can help shape decisions about future programming and content.
